Being Cyber Security Awareness Month, we ran 5x timely Optus Digital Thumbprint curriculum-aligned workshops aimed at teaching young people how to be safe, responsible, and positive online!
Cyberbullying and Respectful Relationships Online: Students practiced techniques to maintain respectful relationships online - understanding the social and legal impacts of cyberbullying, and image-based abuse, and how to seek help.
Digital Discernment: Students discovered how to check for reliability when accessing online resources to understand that not everything online is a true representation of reality.
Digital Identity: Students explored their own and others’ online brands and identified differences in the way these relate to real life.
Digital Balance: Students examined their own online habits and explored how restoring and maintaining a balance between online and offline spaces can support them in their lives.
Protecting Your Personal Information: Students learned what personal information is, and actions to take to protect themselves from identity theft and scams.
