Our students are well supported to successfully transition into high school through immersive and interactive programs that cater to their individual needs. The four primary schools local to Sylvania High School are part of a Community of Schools Across the Waters (COSaW) alliance and include Sylvania Heights Public School, Sylvania Public School, Taren Point Public School and Sans Souci Public School.
Year 6 students from these schools are afforded a range of opportunities to experience high school life including targeted workshops across the performing arts, sports, academia and digital technologies. Transition Day for Year 6 students allows us to see your child’s strengths and areas of need, whilst building positive relationships with new peers. The state-wide Orientation Day in Term 4 is also a significant milestone where your child will engage in wellbeing activities to ignite their excitement for high school as well as their sense of belonging to our school community.
