The Community of Schools across the Waters (CoSAW) is a group of schools who believe in common goals, shared leadership and exciting learning opportunities for the families and children in their area. The five schools focus on learning where students regularly show their knowledge and understanding about key concepts in science, maths, the environment, technology, the humanities and performing arts.
To develop this learning community, Sylvania Heights Public School, Sylvania Public School, Taren Point Public School, Sans Souci Public School and Sylvania High School, have built a common vision about providing students with the best possible education. Our combined staff of teaching professionals are committed to developing learning that motivates students and gives them the skills to apply their knowledge in a variety of ways.
All of our schools have developed collaborative programs to meet the individual needs of our students through innovative links with industry, universities and community partnerships. This includes working closely with students who need support, and challenging the gifted and talented. We proudly promote the values of public education and believe all children have the right to learn in a caring and supportive environment.
Links with our partner public schools ensures the successful transition of students from primary to secondary education. Being a smaller school we provide a caring family atmosphere. Our school values reflect the high standards expected by our community and enable us to develop school leaders who go on to participate as active citizens in the community.
