Members of our Sustainability Council celebrated Schools Tree Day on Friday to mark National Tree Day today, digging in the right direction for environmental sustainability by planting a special 'Snow in Summer’ (Melaleuca linariifolia) near our beautiful creek at the back of the school. This important native plant was also placed in prime position to our Sustainability Garden and will provide a nearby food source for our native bees . The Sustainability Council leads environmental activities across the school to preserve the beauty of the landscape and ensure sustainable futures. If students are interested in joining the council, see Mrs Robinson in the Science faculty. Special thanks to Katie Denoon from Sutherland Shire Council's Green Streets Program for her support. #sustainablefutures #PlantsSaveLives #savethebees
