School hours

School hours are 8:45am to 3pm. Years 11 and 12 Extension courses and performing Arts Ensembles are held before and after school hours.

Timetable

Sylvania High is organised on a TEN-DAY-CYCLE with six periods per day.

The timetable is based on Week A and Week B starting with Week A every term unless advertised otherwise.

Tuesday: Students finish at 2:08 pm. Those who need to wait at school for 3 pm buses will be supervised.

Thursday: School Sport (Years 7-10)

Years 7-10 students may be dismissed at the sport venue or return to school from sport by approximately 2:30 pm and make their way home.

Students walking to sport will leave at the time directed by their supervising teacher and go directly to that sport.

Those who need to wait and catch 3pm buses will be supervised by staff in the Quad area.

Years 11-12 students finish school at 12:26 pm. Students with scheduled classes during school sport time must attend.
